Hundreds of millions of consumers have been coming online lately, but they’re seeing the internet through tiny screens and expensive data connections. This makes it really difficult to reach them with traditional e-commerce business models.
We’re building a new model for e-commerce, that takes these constraints into account. And the first step is to provide a simple, low-data, grocery shopping service through an innovative Android app.
This service is currently operational in Cape Town, on a trial basis, with the aim of rolling it out in other African cities where e-commerce businesses have not been able to get a foothold yet.
